The Web’s Most Accessible Watchlist
WatchWise started with a frustration: I wanted to send a movie recommendation to a blind friend, but every site I visited was a nightmare of clutter. Auto-playing trailers, unlabelled buttons, and "accessible" features that were broken by design.
I realized that if I wanted a tool that respected all users, I had to build it myself.
One Developer, One Mission
I am a solo developer building WatchWise in my spare time. There is no venture capital backing this, no board of directors, and definitely no data-mining team. This is a passion project built on a simple belief: Accessibility should be the default, not an afterthought.
Our Philosophy
- Semantic First: The code is written to be understood by screen readers just as well as human eyes.
- Privacy Focused: Your watchlist is stored on your device. We don't sell your viewing habits.
- Zero Bloat: No ads. No popups. Just the movies.
The Roadmap
WatchWise is currently in Alpha.
- ✅ Search & Discovery: Powered by the TMDB API.
- ✅ Local Watchlist: Save movies directly to your browser memory.
- 🚧 Coming Soon: Cloud Sync (User Accounts).
- 🚧 Coming Soon: Public Profiles for sharing lists.
